Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School. Hopefully, during this past summer you have had the opportunity to rest and re-energize for what promises to be an outstanding school year.
This year will be a year of significant change. We have new refurbishments; the school will have a complete makeover. There have been a lot of new literacy and numeracy resources purchased. This will significantly change the teaching dynamics and offer our students excellent learning experiences. When we reflect upon this year, all of us should be able to say we have shared the responsibility for teaching and learning equally and that we have respected each other's strengths and differences.
At EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School we have a focus on inquiry based, child centred education.  It is essential that each and every one of us strives to be caring, balanced inquirers and open-minded, reflective communicators to guide us in our decisions both in and out of school.  If we do so, we can be assured that our school will be a community where all will feel safe, valued and appreciated. It is

important that visitors to our school and the public who view us, see us at EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School as people of character and commitment.
We are a learning community.  The staff, students, and wider school community of EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School are here to assist each other in the job of learning.  As members of the EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School team, we challenge each other to demonstrate positive leadership, have pride in our school and our work, to care for each other and to take personal ownership for the school environment.
At EtonHouse, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School, we believe it is essential that students strive to ensure that all doors are open to them and that together we work to ensure that a world of opportunity awaits each and every one of our students. To achieve this, we will continually strive to seek ways to improve our teaching and learning, to the benefit of the whole community.
